Malaki Starks is headed to the NFL.

The Georgia safety announced that decision on Monday afternoon. In heading to the NFL, Starks is deciding to forego his final season of eligibility.

Starks thanked Georgia, his teammates, and numerous other people for helping him to this journey. He also had a special message for the Bulldog faithful.

“To the best fans in the nation, thank you for creating a once in a lifetime experience. I will always be grateful,” Starks wrote in-part. “With that being said, I am grateful and excited for the next chapter of my life. I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.”

Here’s his full announcement:

It’s long been the expectation for Starks to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. He was a multi-year starter for the Bulldogs and was recognized as one of the nation’s top safeties in 2024. He departs Georgia after amassing 197 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 6 interceptions and 17 pass deflections over the past 3 seasons.

Malaki Starks has a chance to be the latest in a long line of Georgia first round picks in the NFL Draft. As of 2024, the Bulldogs have produced 48 first-round picks all-time with 17 of those coming in the Kirby Smart era.

The 2025 NFL Draft will be held from April 26-28.
