After landing the nation’s top-rated center Monday, Georgia’s recruiting outlook somehow got even better.

Defensive end prospect Nolan Smith, the nation’s top recruit per 247Sports.com’s composite rating, announced on Twitter that he will remain firm in his commitment to the Bulldogs. Below is the message from Smith’s tweet in which he stated he will be “staying home.”

Though Smith pledged to Georgia in January 2017, he spent the last month taking visits to Alabama, Penn State and Tennessee. But the 6-foot-3, 232-pound defensive end out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, ultimately decided to stick with his original school.

Not long after Smith’s announcement, fellow 5-star recruit Travon Walker also took to Twitter to reaffirm his commitment to the Bulldogs.

Gaining solid commitments from Smith and Walker, along with plucking 5-star center Clay Webb out of Alabama, solidified Georgia’s second-ranked 2019 recruiting class, according to 247Sports.com. Smith, Webb and Walker are the program’s three highest-rated recruits, giving the Bulldogs even more to build on after back-to-back SEC East titles.
