Georgia hires Ole Miss defensive line coach Tray Scott
Well, that didn’t last long. Five weeks after being officially named as the new Ole Miss defensive line coach, Tray Scott has left Oxford for Athens to join Kirby Smart’s Georgia staff.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze has confirmed Scott’s decision to leave the Rebel program:

Scott will replace Tracy Rocker at Georgia, as Rocker was let go Wednesday. Scott coached at North Carolina last season. The Tar Heel defense ranking 35th nationally allowing opponents to score only 79.6 percent of the time in the red zone. The UNC defensive line also helped the overall defense rank in the top 50 nationally in scoring defense (24.9 ppg). UNC defensive tackle Nazair Jones made All-ACC honors for the second straight season in 2016.
