The first College Football Playoff Top 25 of 2020 was unveiled on Monday, and Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State made the top 4.

But some eyebrows were raised over where another team was placed: Georgia, who was slotted at No. 9 in the initial rankings.

The play of JT Daniels on Saturday against Mississippi State could be the source of some optimism for fans moving forward, but the Bulldogs’ losses to both Alabama and Florida (ranked No. 6 in the CFP Top 25) didn’t help their cause, and they will need a number things to fall its way if it is to have any shot at a berth. Their most realistic path at this point is a New Year’s 6 bowl appearance.

Of course, social media had plenty of reaction to the Dawgs’ ranking this week, and the consensus seems to be that they received a much higher ranking than they deserved:
