Stetson Bennett strikes a relaxed tone as Georgia settles in for Orange Bowl

Stetson Bennett and Georgia arrived in South Florida on Sunday, and will settle in to prepare for the Orange Bowl matchup with Michigan.
Bennett and Georgia will begin bowl practice on Monday, but the Bulldogs did not travel with backup QB JT Daniels, who recently tested positive for COVID-19. The media session on Sunday included questions from bowl officials as media access was eliminated as a result of the College Football Playoff’s heightened COVID-19 protocol.
“Excited, hopefully, we get to go to the beach,” Bennett said at the team’s downtown hotel. “We’ll see what Christmas time and the holiday season is like down here. Obviously we got a game to win, but the fact it’s played here in Miami is pretty exciting. It’s pretty cool, if we win, it will be a lot cooler.”
Bennett’s performance on Friday is expected to be a key to victory as some Georgia fans clamored for Daniels to replace him after the Alabama loss as Georgia’s starting quarterback before Daniels’ positive test.
“We have a few more days until the game, we get to enjoy Miami for a few days and then lock in,” Bennett said. “We feel good, we practiced hard, watched a lot of film on Michigan, but we’re feeling good.”
