Bronny James played in an AAU game at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Ohio, the alma mater of his father and Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. But what he pulled off in the game will be part of his growing resume of highlight-reel plays.

The younger James threw down a tomahawk dunk 20 years after LeBron did the same thing in the same gym.

The event, which showcases elite AAU teams, is taking place at LeBron James Arena over the 4th of July weekend, the Akron Beacon-Journal reported. The report added that a line snaked down the sidewalk in front of the school as a sellout crowd of 1,300 fans arrived five-plus hours before the marquee game of the first night of The Battle Basketball Showcase to watch LeBron James Jr.

James Jr. scored nine points to go along with three assists, two steals, and two rebounds in the final game of the day on Friday as his 17-and-under Strive For Greatness team lost to Midwest Basketball Club, 99-97. His father and the rest of his immediate family watched on from the gym’s corner, and dad was not shy about offering vocal encouragement or direction from the sidelines.
