Former Kentucky star Randall Cobb has seen his playing days come to an end. Now, he’s transitioning into broadcasting and will join the SEC Network for the 2024 season.

Cobb has already made appearances around SEC Media Days in Dallas this week. ESPN confirmed the addition via a Thursday press release, announcing the UK Hall of Famer will be featured on various programs across the SEC Network.

Cobb will appear on select additions of “SEC Now” this season and will join co-host Alyssa Lang on “Out of the Pocket Presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors” as a studio analyst.

“We are thrilled to welcome Randall to the SEC Network crew,” said Pete Watters, SEC Network Coordinating Producer II. “His experience and knowledge of the game, both from playing at Kentucky and in the NFL, will be such an asset to our football coverage.”

One of the best all-purpose players and returners in Kentucky’s history, Cobb went on to play 13 seasons in the NFL. He finished his career with over 7,600 receiving yards and 54 receiving touchdowns to go with 3 special teams touchdowns.

“I am incredibly excited to be coming home to the SEC with this new role,” said Cobb. “The level of greatness this conference provides year after year is unmatched – I cannot wait return to the conference family with this SEC Network crew.”
