Lane Kiffin is well-known for his Twitter trolling. On Wednesday, he’s on the other end of it.

Kentucky beat out Ole Miss and others for 4-star Horn Lake (Mississippi) DT Josaih Hayes, a huge get for Mark Stoops’ squad. UK assistant Jon Sumrall celebrated the big commitment for the Wildcats with an eye-catching tweet. Sumrall is a former Rebels assistant.

The clip tweeted by Kentucky’s linebacker coach appeared to be a not so subtle callback to a recent Kiffin tweet.

Kentucky and Ole Miss are not regular rivals but are scheduled to meet in the 2022 season when Hayes will be in the third season of his college career. We shall see if Sumrall and Kiffin are still with the Wildcats and Rebels.

As we wrote earlier, Hayes is the highest-ranked Deep South prospect to ever sign with UK, per Rivals. He is the third-highest Wildcats commitment in a class of 19 prospects, according to 247Sports. Hayes committed to Ole Miss in June, but decommitted about two months ago.

He participated in the annual Mississippi Alabama Football Classic in 2019. Hayes was named first-team All-State by MaxPreps and Class 6A All-State by the MAC in 2019.
