Thanks in large part to Lynn Bowden, and an assistant from Louisville’s terrible rush defense, Kentucky just set the new standard for rushing yards in a single season in Lexington.

Following a 45-yard touchdown run by Bowden, his third score of the day, Kentucky broke the school’s all-time rushing mark in a single season. This Wildcat team has now rushed for 3,130 yards this season, which breaks a 45-year-old Kentucky record.

The Louisville defense did their part in contributing to the record as they have already allowed 355 rushing yards in three quarters against Kentucky. The fourth quarter will just be stat padding at this point.
