Kentucky coach Mark Stoops took to Twitter on Wednesday afternoon to recognize his brother, former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops, who announced his retirement on Wednesday.
Mark, who played at Iowa from 1986-88, which overlaps with Bob’s time as a volunteer and graduate assistant coach with the Hawkeyes (1983-87), wished his brother well in whatever he chooses to do next after 18 seasons at Oklahoma (1999-2016).
Bob truly represents what is good about college football and the success of his career speaks for itself. What he means to me as a brother

Since there time together at Iowa, Mark and Bob Stoops have always been on different coaching staffs. The two brothers coached against each other in 2010 and 2011 when Mark was the defensive coordinator at Florida State. Oklahoma won both its meetings against the Seminoles (47-17, 23-13).
