Kentucky basketball picked up a commitment from former UCF pledge and 3-star shooting guard Joey Hart Saturday afternoon. Hart is the 7th commitment of the 2023 class and the product of Kentucky’s lack of luck in the transfer portal thus far.
Hart, who hails from Indiana, committed to UCF in 2022, but requested a release from his NLI . He took an official visit to Lexington last and now joins an incoming freshman class that features four 5-stars, a 4-star and now two 3-stars.
Hart stands at 6-5, 185 pounds and is considered to be the No. 268 overall player in the Class of 2023.

Kentucky hoops is a bit of an enigma heading into the 2023 season. The Wildcats are oozing with talent, but not veteran talent.
The Wildcats now have 9 underclassmen on their 2023-24 roster with only Antonio Reeves still in contention for a return among key players from last season.
