Kentucky LB Courtney Love is being recognized for his work both on and off the field.

The senior LB has appeared in all 12 games this season and posted 82 total tackles. He added 3.5 sacks, a TFL, and two fumble recoveries for the Wildcats.

Love has had a strong year as a player, but he is also recognized as a strong community servant. He was announced as the 2017 recipient of the Wuerffel Trophy Tuesday. According to the award, the trophy is given every year to the player who exhibits exemplary community service.

Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart tweeted a photo of Love accepting the award Tuesday:

The award is named after former Heisman winner and Florida Gator QB Danny Wuerffel.
