One of Kentucky’s defensive ends will complete the remainder of his collegiate career elsewhere. Isaiah Gibson, a signee from the class of 2019, has entered the transfer portal, according to Rivals.com.

The Springfield, Ohio native redshirted during his first year of college and played in 9 games in 2020, recording 5 tackles. In 2021, he added 4 tackles through 6 games.

A former all-Ohio high school player, Gibson was a 3-star recruit and the No. 48 defensive tackle in his class.

Just days ago, another member of Kentucky’s defense, K.D. McDaniel, entered the portal himself. McDaniel was a sophomore and played 5 games in 2021. In addition, running backs Travis Tisdale and Torrance Davis are set to depart the program, as well as quarterback Nick Scalzo and offensive lineman Jake Pope.
