Kentucky on Saturday reportedly lost a member of its receiver corps to the transfer portal.

Hardley Gilmore, a top 100 wide receiver from the class of 2024, opted to enter the portal on Saturday, according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer. Saturday marks the final day of the winter portal session.

The Pahokee, Fla., product saw the field immediately for Mark Stoops’ program, playing in 7 games and making 6 catches for 153 yards. His first career touchdown came during a 48-6 win against Murray State.

Kentucky had a massively disappointing season in 2024, finishing just 4-8. Not long ago — in 2021, in fact — this was a 10-win team, or at least before those wins were later vacated after an NCAA investigation.

It remains to be seen where Gilmore will ultimately end up, but the Wildcats’ WR room will look vastly different in 2025: leading receiver Dane Key transferred to Nebraska, while Barion Brown is now at LSU. Jay Maclin remains in the fold and will potentially receive a larger role, while Kendrick Law (Alabama) and J.J. Hester (Oklahoma) are portal adds.

The changes to the offense don’t stop there: Zach Calzada is an incoming transfer at quarterback, marking the fourth stop of a collegiate career that began in 2019.
