Mark Stoops’ Kentucky Wildcats improved to 8-3 on the year with a 56-16 win over New Mexico State. All of NMSU’s 16 points came in the first half. UK dominated the second half, adding 21 points on offense, with the defense putting up a 0.

After the game, Stoops praised his senior class and wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, who joined the 1,000-yard club.

Here are some of the highlights from Stoops’ press conference:

  • On controlling second half: “It was important in the second half to take charge and be dominant.”
  • On the seniors: “They’ve done an awful lot for our program and we appreciate them.”
  • On RB Chris Rodriguez’s fumbling issues: “It’s unacceptable because he’s a better player than that.”
  • On Wan’Dale Robinson: “He’s a very unselfish player…he’s a good teammate.”

Kentucky finishes the 2021 season on the road against in-state rival Louisville.
