Will Levis has received a lot of attention because of a viral video from TikTok where he ate a banana whole without peeling it. That led to an apparent bet involving Kentucky coach Mark Stoops eating a banana Levis-style if the quarterback passed for 400 yards.

Stoops made an appearance on “SEC This Morning” to discuss the alleged bet, and clarified his stance. Levis was benched with 376 yards. Peter Burns and Chris Doering asked Stoops about the conspiracy theory.

“I really had no idea what the number was,” Stoops said. “I know he was throwing for a bunch, but it was time. It was time to get Beau (Allen) in there. Nobody can argue with that.”

SEC Network sideline reporter Alyssa Lang, who ate a banana Levis-style on the sideline once Levis passed 300 yards, also joined in on the events. Lang appears to be the person who initiated the bet.

“If he would’ve thrown for 400, I would have ate at least a bite or 2 of the banana with the peel on, I’m not saying I would eat the whole banana, that’s ridiculous,” Stoops said.
