Kentucky landed its 13th commitment in 4-star DE Samuel Anaele (Miami, Florida).

Anaele is ranked as the nation’s No. 10 SDE and the state of Florida’s No. 22 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. For Kentucky to go into Miami and land a commitment from such a coveted prospect is a huge deal for Mark Stoops and the Cats.

Anaele decommitted from Miami Sunday, and it didn’t take long for him to pull the trigger for the Cats. He officially visited Kentucky on June 5. He had offers from Auburn, Florida, Virginia and Miami, among others.

The South Florida standout became the Cats’ second-highest rated commitment behind 4-star OG Justin Rogers. Anaele became Kentucky’s first DE commit for the class of 2020.

Anaele was the second commitment of the day for the Cats, as they landed Ohio playmaker Kalil Branham earlier Monday.

Mark Stoops confirmed Anaele’s commitment via Twitter:
