TyTy Washington injury: Kentucky star leaves game vs. Florida with apparent injury

TyTy Washington has already battled a lower-body injury this season. Unfortunately, Kentucky will be waiting to find out if Washington did indeed sustain a second injury – or a re-aggravation – in the game vs. Florida.
During the second half of action, Washington was going after a loose ball when Brandon McKissic of the Gators also dove for the loose ball. McKissic collided and rolled up on Washington’s left leg in the process.
Washington stayed down for a minute on the court before getting up and immediately heading toward the locker room. He appeared to be in significant pain, and Wynn McDonald with Kentucky Sports Radio reported Washington collapsed outside the door of the tunnel.
I assume they didn’t show this on TV, but he collapsed at the door to the tunnel. Had to be helped off by two guys. Did not look good https://t.co/p2bR2w0mxV

***UPDATE*** Any questions about Washington’s status for the remainder of Saturday were answered with about 5 minutes left to go in the second half. He was declared out for the remainder of the game vs. Florida with what was classified as a “lower-leg injury.” The overall nature and severity of his injury remain to be seen.
Washington will not return to the game, due to a “lower leg” injury. @KYKernelSports

Washington previously injured his left ankle during a game vs. Auburn. It remains unclear if the injury from Saturday is related to the ankle or his knee.
