Leading up to gameday on Aug. 28, our in-house uniform expert Brad Crawford will look at every SEC team’s apparel plans this season. Some programs are incorporating new alternates while others have made subtle alterations to helmets. We have our favorite looks and we’re sure you do as well.

Here’s a team-by-team glance at what you’ll see this fall:

KENTUCKY WILDCATS (NIKE)

  • 2014 HOME: Blue helmet + blue jersey + white pants OR Blue helmet + blue jersey + blue pants OR White helmet + blue jersey + white pants
  • 2014 ROAD: Blue helmet + white jersey + white pants OR White helmet + white jersey + blue pants
  • 2014 ALTERNATES: Blue helmet + black jersey + black pants OR Blue helmet + grey jersey + grey pants

  • WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE: Matte grey helmet + blue jersey + grey pants — At some point this season, the Wildcats will debut an all-grey look with a blue or white helmet. The new threads give Kentucky the SEC East lead for total number of different uniform options in 2014. Grey is the perfect road alternate color since the Wildcats already use a secondary color — black — as their home alternate preference. Grey pants with a white jersey and blue helmet would also be a stellar look.
