Leading up to gameday on Aug. 28, our in-house uniform expert Brad Crawford will look at every SEC team’s apparel plans this season. Some programs are incorporating new alternates while others have made subtle alterations to helmets. We have our favorite looks and we’re sure you do as well.

Here’s a team-by-team glance at what you’ll see this fall:

  • 2014 HOME: White helmet + maroon jersey + white pants OR Maroon helmet + maroon jersey + white pants
  • 2014 ROAD: Maroon helmet + white jersey + white pants OR White helmet + white jersey + white pants
  • 2014 ALTERNATE: Maroon helmet (w/ state of Texas ‘Lonestar’ logo) + grey jersey + grey pants (Road)
  • WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE: White helmet (w/ black + maroon ATM logo) + black jersey + white pants — Adidas’ initial uniform makeover in College Station prior to the 2012 season was an instant upgrade from previous sets featuring contrasting v-neck jerseys. Last season’s TECHFIT alternate grey threads — the updated answer to the ’12 blacks worn at Mississippi St. — may not see another Saturday following a convincing loss at Tiger Stadium. More black is needed.
