With the 2021 signing period over a year away, Hutto (Texas) DE Landy Watson has decided to reopen his recruitment.
Watson made the announcement that he has backed off his pledge to the Tigers in a note posted to his Twitter account:
Currently listed at 6-3, 230 pounds, Watson is rated 4-stars, the No. 14 weak-side defensive end, No. 36 Texas product and No. 209 prospect overall nationally for the 2021 class on the 247Sports Composite. Watson holds 16 scholarship offers, but his only other current SEC offer is from Vanderbilt.
Watson committed to LSU on July 29, 2019 during an official visit to the school.
The Tigers still have two recruits already pledged for 2021, DT Anthony Hundley and punter Peyton Todd.
