Michael Irvin emphatically praises Justin Jefferson, expects former LSU star to 'break all the records'
The two-headed monster that was Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase at LSU was essential to the team’s national championship run in 2019. Both players have gone on to have success at the next level and former Dallas Cowboys wideout Michael Irvin sees shattered records in the future for the former.
Irvin couldn’t be much higher on the former Tiger and has high expectations for Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins as well.
“I predict him to break every record and if he’s catching those passes, somebody had to be throwing them,” Irvin said on ESPN’s First Take. “That’s why I said Kirk Cousins was going to be an MVP.”

In the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, Jefferson caught 9 passes for some 184 yards with 2 touchdowns. To nearly cross the century-mark two times over in one game is an outstanding feat for a receiver, as is an average of 20.4 yards per catch.
Jefferson and the Vikings will face the Philadelphia Eagles up next on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8:30 p.m. ET.
