Coming into the Cincinnati Bengals’ first game of the season against the Minnesota Vikings, there were some concerns about first-round draft choice Ja’Marr Chase. During the preseason, the former LSU wide receiver had dropped several catchable balls, which had some wondering about him and his abilities.

Any doubts about Chase’s abilities were left in the dust after the wideout caught a 50-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Joe Burrow.

The eruption and the joy from the Bengals sideline can be seen in the highlights. They were obviously thrilled for Chase:

And Chase had a message for all his critics who doubt him per NFL.com.

“I like to tell them, ‘Enjoy the show.’ That’s all I can tell them,” he said. “A lot of news coming. I’ve been hearing this since I was young, you know what I’m saying? But I’m not worried about it. This is my job right here, and my job is to catch the football and make plays. So I’ma let them sit back and enjoy the show.”

Clearly, the Bengals sideline did.
