Booger McFarland is currently a Monday Night Football analyst, but back in the late-1990s, he played for the LSU Tigers. He was then a first-round NFL Draft pick and won two Super Bowls in a career spent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts.

He still keeps up with his alma mater, though, and he wasn’t a big fan of what LSU faithful did on Saturday night.

Ahead of a game in which they clinched the SEC regular-season title, fans booed AD Joe Alleva for suspending coach Will Wade amid an FBI investigation. McFarland didn’t like that fans did that:

Yes, Wade was insubordinate by not meeting with his bosses, but his suspension may end up hurting the Tigers more than helping if the NCAA sees it as an admission of guilt.

This case is only getting started, but it’s safe to say Alleva isn’t the most popular guy in Baton Rouge these days.
