Brian Kelly and LSU trail Texas A&M at halftime of Saturday night’s game 17-10.

The Aggies offense has moved the ball throughout the game, and Texas A&M controlled the tempo of the game. It also controlled possession of the game, too, for nearly 17 minutes.

The Aggies offense racked up 220 yards and 17 first-half points. Running back Devon Achane has already recorded 119 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.

At halftime, Kelly was critical of LSU’s defensive effort when asked what the Tigers must do better in the second half.

“Play better defense. We didn’t have the ball enough. I’m OK with what we’re doing on offense. We can’t give them the ball for 17 minutes. That was our worst defensive performance of the year,” Kelly said, via Scott Rabalais.

No doubt Kelly will give his defense an ear full at halftime.
