Brian Kelly handed out the game ball to “one bad ass” following No. 23 LSU’s win over No. 21 Mizzou on Saturday.

The game ball was given to senior quarterback Jayden Daniels. He completed 15-of-21 for 259 yards and 3 touchdowns. On the ground, Daniels ran for 130 yards and a TD on 15 carries.

“There is no doubt about it that he is one bad ass,” Kelly said.

With his teammates chanting “Speeeeech!,” Daniels accepted the game ball with a big smile.

“I love you boys,” Daniels said.

Mizzou maintained a 25-17 lead at the break. Following a 10-7 third quarter in favor of LSU, the deficit was 32-27.

In the fourth quarter, Mizzou was up 39-35, thanks to a Cody Schrader TD run with 5:40 left in the game.

LSU, however, hit the comeback trail.

With 2:58 left, Daniels targeted Malik Nabers for a 29-yard TD reception to give LSU a 42-39 advantage. The team then added some insurance when Major Burns picked off Mizzou QB Brady Cook and took it 17 yards for the score.

LSU (4-2) hosts Auburn next Saturday. Mizzou (5-1) also plays next Saturday, as they face No. 20 Kentucky.
