Brian Kelly roasted as video of fake Southern accent goes viral

Brian Kelly is getting savagely trolled for his “new” accent.

The new LSU football coach addressed fans at the Tigers’ Wednesday night basketball game. A portion of Kelly’s address is now going viral on Twitter. In the 41-second clip, Kelly appears to be trying to speak in a Southern accent.

SEC Twitter got plenty of laughs at Kelly’s failed attempt to sound Southern. Here’s a small sample of the hilarious responses to the clip:

Kelly, 60, was born in Everett, Massachusetts. He stayed in Massachusetts to go to Assumption College, where he played linebacker.
