High school All-American, 4-star receiver Brian Thomas announces college commitment
Rated as one of the nation’s highest-rated receiver prospects in the 2021 recruiting cycle, Brian Thomas was originally scheduled to announce his college decision on National Signing Day. However, that deciding to push back his decision, the Louisiana native is ready to declare where he will play his college football.
On Tuesday, during a commitment ceremony at his Walker High School in Walker, La., the four-star receiver announced he will play his college football for LSU.
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Walker High School standout made his decision another announcing a list of finalists that includes Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M.
Rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 13 receiver in the country for the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings, Thomas was selected to compete in the 2021 All-American Bowl before that game was canceled due to COVID.
Thomas also rated as the No. 2 receiver from Louisiana in the current recruiting cycle and a top 100 overall prospect.

Hold that Tiger!!
Well it was all over the world wide web that dad was openly selling him to the highest bidder.
Congratulations?
Thanks! We got him anyway.
Yeah, this kid’s corrupt recruitment was the worst kept secret in the state.
Everyone knew what Dad was up to. He made no bones about it. Pay up or shut up.
Alabama didn’t have room for him and was not at all inclined to cough anything up for this kid. And A&M was obviously leery of it all, given Dad’s very vocal barking and auctioning skills.
So what was left? LSU, TAF and a moribund program the kid really doesn’t want to play for. He could’ve committed back in December and then February but didn’t.
All this makes you wonder though. Did LSU have to steal from another pediatric cancer hospital to secure this kid?
I hope not.
Just gave LSU the best receiving corps in the Class of 2021. Suck it Gump!
Our receiving corps are no slouch. Two five stars and two strong four stars. Seven total five stars overall with a best ever class rating of 327.91 in 24/7 football composite. An average rating of 95.0 per player. Another best ever. Not bad.
Are you in anyway related to Fantasyfootballgod?
The Tide signed 4 of the top 10 receivers compared to #13. We also didn’t lose our 5* TE to homesickness. Suck it Corndog!
Not related to ffg but definitely a fan…at least some of the time. Does that make me a double corndog?
Sorry about y’all losing Scott to the Vikings to replace Jones. Nicky’s got the DBs handled anyway but it’s the recruiting loss that’s a real killer. Guess the rich don’t always get richer.
Congrats the Tide had a good haul of WRs too.
So according to your logic LSU got him because they are dirty and Bama is clean. Interesting take being Bama was still pursuing him.
all college programs are dirty to a degree. some are just better at hiding it than others.
#3LSU just leapfrogged #4Georgia in recruiting class rankings per 247Sports 2021 Football Team Rankings with this commitment.
Doesn’t really count if it’s comes after signing day.
Doesn’t *really* count at all, but some folks keep up with it anyway.
That and $1 will get you a large iced tea at Mickey D’s!!! We all know that it’s not the stars that count it’s the kid’s heart. Let’s review in two years.
I agree 74gator…meet back in 2 years.
only watched the first 2 min of the video, but i like this guy. big get!
