What a way for Deion Jones to end his 2019 season.
The former LSU linebacker had a game-ending interception return touchdown on Sunday, lifting the Atlanta Falcons to a 28-22 overtime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was Jones’ first interception and first touchdown of the season.
Jones, who was a second-round pick by the Falcons in 2016, had a solid season, recording 107 tackles and four pass deflections. He also helped Atlanta win six of its last eight games to finish 7-9 after losing seven of its first eight contests.

Not only did Jones’ walk-off play help the Falcons end the year on a positive note, but it gave Bucs quarterback Jameis Winston a piece of NFL history.
Winston became the first player in NFL history to throw 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
Coincidentally, Winston’s first and last pass during his rookie contract were interceptions returned for touchdowns, as pointed out by Bill Barnwell of ESPN.
