Even though former LSU RB Derrius Guice was projected by many as a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, he fell to the latter part of the second round, where the Washington Redskins took him.

The fall came, in part, due to rumors about an altercation he had with the Philadelphia Eagles during the pre-draft process, though both Guice and the Eagles denied it.

During his introductory press conference on Saturday, Guice said the negativity surrounding him during the draft is going to turn into motivation on the field this fall (via The Washington Post):

“No one wants to hear their name be slandered like that. Now I’m going to run angrier than ever,” he said. “It’s going to be tough for a lot of teams to bring me down.”

That’s a scary thought for the 31 teams that passed on him, as Guice already runs angry and is a load to bring down.

If the Redskins are indeed getting a misunderstood and motivated player, their offense will be much more dynamic in 2018 and beyond.
