With the 2018 NFL Draft just weeks away, Derrius Guice is making a late switch in representation.

The former standout LSU running back originally signed with Top Dawg Entertainment after declaring he was leaving school early to enter into the draft but will be represented by Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports agency by the time the draft arrives.

News of Guice’s flip was first reported by Darren Heitner of Forbes. The article on Guice has been retweeted by the former Tiger on Twitter.

This move indicates Guice may be thinking of his career beyond just football, as NFL rookie deals are often done without an agent these days due to restrictions on what rookies can earn thanks to the current collective bargaining agreement between the Players’ Association and the NFL. Another sign that Guice may be thinking outside of football with this move is the fact the agency has so few football players on its roster.
