DJ Chark is now a Jacksonville Jaguar, but he still has his LSU teammate’s back.

Arguably the biggest story of NFL Draft weekend so far is Derrius Guice’s slide to No. 59. At one time this offseason, Guice was talked about as the potential first running back selected in the draft. Even as the other backs saw their stock rise, the NFL still invited Guice to attend the draft at AT&T Stadium. Attendees are typically first-round picks. Guice left Dallas after not being selected in the first round Thursday. There are a number of rumors surrounding Guice, but nothing has yet to be confirmed and reported.

LSU beat reporter Ross Dellenger of The Advocate asked Chark about Guice’s slide in the draft.

“No reason he should have went where he went,” Chark told Dellenger. “I’m upset. His talent is better than those guys (who went before him). Derrius is going to show he’s a dominant player.”

Clearly Tigers stick together, even after they leave the bayou.

Guice also received a strong endorsement from Alabama LB Mack Wilson. The SEC West rival said the Washington Redskins got a steal with Guice at No. 59.
