It’s no secret that many fans of the LSU Tigers are also fans of the New Orleans Saints. Ed Orgeron made the decision ahead of the 2019 season to hire former Saints assistant Joe Brady to LSU’s staff. With Brady on board, the Tigers offense lit up scoreboards on a weekly basis with Joe Burrow breaking numerous school and SEC records in the process.

On Saturday night, the Saints shared a video message from QB Drew Brees congratulating Burrow on his special accomplishment.

“Hey Joe! What’s up, man? Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints. Just want to say congratulations on winning the Heisman. So well deserved. Such a phenomenal season – so much fun to watch. So, congrats, man. You deserve it, so enjoy it.

There’s still to work be done. You guys have a great opportunity ahead of you. Stay focused. Keep your mind right. Keep your team together. I know you deserve it. Your team deserves it. Tiger Nation deserves it. South Louisiana deserves it. Go take it one at a time. Let’s go get it done.”

Brees is a Purdue alum, but many LSU fans probably consider him an honorary Tiger.
