Coming off a disappointing 37-7 loss to Mississippi State last weekend, the LSU Tigers are re-evaluating everything about their team.

One thing that coach Ed Orgeron might change is the Tigers’ fast-paced offense, as it was clearly ineffective against the Bulldogs.

As the Tigers get ready to host Syracuse on Saturday night, Coach O said on his Wednesday radio show that we may see a more deliberate LSU offense as they try to get back on track:

A big reason for the possible change is that the Tigers are dealing with a lot of injuries along the offensive and defensive lines. Without depth at those positions, it’s hard to keep everyone fresh for an entire game.

Therefore, we may see the linemen getting more time to catch their breath in the huddle against Syracuse on Saturday night.

Also, though it should come as no surprise as he’s missed every practice this week, Coach O said star RB Derrius Guice is officially out for Saturday’s game:

It sounds like the Tigers just want to save Guice for SEC play, where they’ll need him the most, but it’ll be interesting to see how the injury progresses in the next week.
