Ed Orgeron comments on his relationship with LSU OC Matt Canada, praises DC Dave Aranda
When the LSU Tigers lost at home to Troy on Homecoming, coach Ed Orgeron seemed to put a lot of the blame on first-year OC Matt Canada.
From that point on, it has seemed like that relationship has been strained, even as Coach O claims otherwise.
On Wednesday, he again discussed his relationship with Canada and what happened in the Troy game, saying that he’s the head coach, so the team will do what he wants to do:
Here's the transcript of Ed Orgeron on his coordinators. @MichaelCauble's questions in italics. Praises Dave Aranda for being 'loyal' and says of the Troy game spat with Canada: "I'm the head coach. We're going to do what I want to do." pic.twitter.com/QPBkz7KVss

That’s an odd comment, made even stranger by his effusive praise of DC Dave Aranda immediately afterward. He even called Aranda “loyal,” which is weird right after talking about Canada.
Whether the relationship between Coach O and Canada improves remains to be seen, but for now, it still seems as if there’s tension between the two coaches.
