Recently, former LSU TE Arik Gilbert returned to Baton Rouge. He was taking a visit to his old school as he continues to weigh his options.

Gilbert entered the transfer portal after a strong performance as a freshman in 2020. Then, he committed to Florida before backing off that pledge.

Now, he is considering LSU again, and coach Ed Orgeron spoke on Tuesday night about Gilbert’s visit. He said no decision has been made, but it was a good meeting with the star tight end:

Gilbert had 35 catches for 368 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2020, playing in 8 games for the Tigers.

Will he find his way back to Baton Rouge? It seems LSU and Coach O would welcome him back with open arms.
