LSU coach Ed Orgeron has landed a sponsorship deal, and will now appear in radio and television ads for Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.

The Baton Rouge-based company will use the new head coach of the Tigers in TV and radio commercials throughout the state of Louisiana.

The company sent out a press release with the news on Tuesday afternoon:

“I’ve been a fan of Cane’s for years,” Coach O says in the release.

It’ll be interesting to see how the franchise uses Coach O, as his acting potential has yet to be tapped.

Another interesting tidbit included in the release is that former LSU coach Les Miles used to have a sponsorship deal with the company, so Orgeron is following in his predecessor’s footsteps in another way.

Here’s where we make the obligatory mention that (through no fault of Orgeron’s) college players would not be able to sign a deal like this themselves, due to NCAA rules.
