Ed Orgeron says LSU is 'fired up' for 3 final games at Tiger Stadium, sets sights on postseason
Ed Orgeron and LSU will close out the regular season, and his tenure as LSU’s coach, at Tiger Stadium with games against Arkansas, UL-Monroe and Texas A&M.
Orgeron shared his excitement for the stretch run during his regular Tuesday appearance on “Off the Bench” on 104.5 ESPN with T-Bob Hebert and Jacob Hester.
“I’m excited about it. I love the Tiger Walk. I’m excited for my 3 last games in Tiger Stadium,” Orgeron said. “Our team will be fired up, T-Bob and Jake, we want to go to a bowl. We want to win out and go to a bowl, I want the best for these young men, they deserve it.”
Orgeron reiterated that the coaching staff would split the quarterback reps a little more equal now between Max Johnson and Garrett Nussmeier even though Johnson is still the starter.
“If Max is on fire, I told Garrett, I’m not taking him out,” Orgeron said. “But I’m going to give Garrett a shot and let’s see who wins.”
