Ed Orgeron and LSU have reportedly reached a settlement agreement, and one college football insider has reported that Oregon will receive his entire buyout, which is more than $17 million.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic and FOX Sports noted that Orgeron’s record at LSU is 49-17 and he went 13-5 in games against Top 10 teams while coaching the Tigers.

Orgeron is expected to finish out the remainder of the 2021 season with LSU. Despite a win over Florida on Saturday, LSU is 4-3 as it previously lost back-to-back games to Auburn and Kentucky before upsetting the Gators on Saturday.

Orgeron originally joined the Tiger staff in 2015 as defensive line coach, before he became recruiting coordinator in the spring of 2016.

Orgeron was previously an interim coach at Southern Cal when he was 6-2, and a head coach at Ole Miss, where he was 10-25 in 3 seasons with the Rebels.
