ESPN NFL analyst makes pro comp for LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire
Many players from LSU’s magical 2019 title-winning season decided to leave school early to pursue their NFL dreams.
One of the players leaving Baton Rouge a year early to enter the 2020 NFL Draft is RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
On the heels of an incredible breakout season, Edwards-Helaire is an intriguing draft prospect. On Friday, ESPN draft analyst Matt Bowen broke down some of Edwards-Helaire’s tape, and made an NFL comparison for him.
As you can see in the tweet below, Bowen compared Edwards-Helaire’s game to that of former Alabama Heisman winner Mark Ingram:
#LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (5-foot-8, 209)
• Dynamic footwork + lateral quicks
• Initial burst shows up on tape
• Finds daylight in zone schemes
• Seeks contact at 2nd/3rd level
• Ability to flex into the slotPro comp — #Ravens RB Mark Ingram @NFLMatchup pic.twitter.com/9gMxVkTsMC

That’s a big-time comparison, especially considering how impactful Ingram has been the past 2 seasons for the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens.
How will Edwards-Helaire fare in the NFL? We’ll find out starting this fall!
