Fire him at halftime? Media, fans rip LSU DC Bo Pelini as Alabama drops 45 points
Alabama’s offense vs. LSU’s defense has been the bloodbath many people were expecting. It has been a terrible night in Baton Rouge for Tigers defensive coordinator Bo Pelini.
Alabama scored touchdowns on its first five possessions of the game. On the sixth, the Crimson Tide offense still scored, but “only” a field goal to make it 38-14. UA “bounced back” on the next possession, scoring a sixth first-half touchdown thanks to an incredible catch by DeVonta Smith.
UA has three in the triple-digit club after two quarters: Mac Jones (338 passing yards), Najee Harris (118 rushing yards) and Smith (219 yards).
Alabama’s dominant night on offense means a rough night of social media mentions for Pelini. There is plenty of pink slip talk, as you can see below:
So does Bo Pelini even get to come out for the second half or does he spent the second half packing up his belongings? #LSU #GeauxTigers @lsutigerswire @usatodaysports pic.twitter.com/Idle8a97mQ

Agreed!!! That way, we can fire Bo Pelini at halftime!

Bo Pelini should be fired at halftime. No, before halftime. Don't even let him back in the locker room. Get that man an Uber and send his ass home

Coach O should fire Bo Pelini BEFORE halftime to get a jump to hire the newest hottest DC in the country ANYONE ELSE!

They need to relieve Bo Pelini of his coaching duties at halftime!

Is Bo Pelini about to get fired at halftime? Holy cow! #LSUvsBAMA

One thing LSU could do to make this interesting in the 2nd half…
Switch personnel groupings entirely. Let the special teams play offense. Let the offense play defense. Let the defense play special teams.
And let Bo Pelini onto a SpaceX rocket.

Goodness, Devonta Smith just made an insane TD catch. Alabama has 45 points in the first half! Poor LSU. I'm gonna guess Bo Pelini is going to be unemployed after this game.

Hey Bo Pelini, do us all a favor and quit now please

Bo Pelini would be wise to sneak out the backdoor of Tiger Stadium at half pic.twitter.com/x3ctW2LDMD

$2.3 million a year for Bo Pelini to draw this up. Great work, O. https://t.co/8UKWP9MyIG

Bo Pelini's defense giving up 1 billion points on national tv? pic.twitter.com/3iY956svWN

Ya know, I don’t see how LSU justifies employing Bo Pelini.
— Josh Innes (@JoshInnesShow) December 6, 2020
Bo Pelini should hand in his resignation.
– After Flott gets BLASTED by Smith, they put Flott BACK on him and gets burned again.
– Stingley gets hurt on the play anyway.
How can coaches make this type of money and get away with it?

Why y’all LSU fans acting surprised. Bama will pit up 70..
Why y’all LSU fans acting surprised. Bama will pit up 70..
Ogreloon hired Bo, so the fault lies with him. Bringing in Linehan to replace Brady was also a huge downgrade.
LSU is going to have quite the offseason. Hopefully the recruiting continues going well, but there have to be staff adjustments. I expected us to fall back this season, but this is a bit much.
There is no team in the country that could lose not just the talent, but the game experience that LSU lost and still be competitive. Especially without a spring. One question that I do think is fair is why so many of their players are so selfish that they would opt out, which is just liberal speak for quitting on your team and teammates, and putting yourself first. My question to you, as you are closer to it, is this a growing culture at LSU based on the character of the players that Coach O is bringing in?
So a team that lost over 31 experienced players including the best offensive line in the country, three tremendous receivers, a Heisman QB,
most of the defensive secondary and starting defensive talent isn’t doing well this year in the eyes of those on social media…the true judges of excellence and talent. Why isn’t is called social bull that seems far ore appropriate.
Yet nobody is talking about the OC. 4th and one and you don’t use a 6-6’ & 243 lb QB sneak? Terrible call.
