Florida State has sold out of its allotment of 30,000 tickets to the football game against LSU on Sept. 4th in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game is set for 7:30 p.m. on ABC.

This game is part of a two-game series, and the second will be played in 2023, on Labor Day weekend on Sunday, Sept. 3, at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

The Tigers are 2-7 all-time against Florida State. In the previous matchup between the two programs, FSU won 27-16 in Tiger Stadium back in 1991.

Florida State has named Jordan Travis as its starting quarterback after a spring competition from Tate Rodemaker, and coach Mike Norvell explained why this past spring.

“No, I mean, Jordan is our starting quarterback,” Norvell said, answering a direct question about a possible position battle with a slight grin, per 247Sports. “Jordan has done a phenomenal job. I think you better have competition at every position. Does that push guys? Yes, you need to be pushed, everybody does. … But one thing I’ll tell you I love about Jordan is it’s not a push of another person, it’s the push he has for himself.”

Travis ended last season as FSU’s starting QB, as he went 5-3 in games he started. His passer rating of 148.86 places him 5th among returning ACC QBs in what is one of the most experienced leagues in the country when it comes to quarterback play.
