Former LSU wide receiver announces transfer destination
Former LSU wide receiver Alex Adams has announced where he will play in 2022, 1 day after he opted to enter the transfer portal after 2 seasons with the Tigers.
Adams was a 3-star recruit in the class of 2020 and was considered the No. 8 player in the state of Mississippi by 247Sports. He appeared in 3 games during the COVID-19 shortened 2020 campaign. Across 7 games in 2021, he made a single catch against McNeese on Sept. 11.

Louisiana sportsbooks are up and running. Residents in the state can now signup at one of the various sportsbook operators and begin betting on NFL, college football, NBA and more.
But Adams will head elsewhere to resume his college career as he looks to make an impact on the college ranks. On Tuesday evening, he revealed on his Twitter account that he will play at Akron:

As The Athletic’s Brody Miller notes, Adams was a Mississippi State recruit a few years ago while Joe Moorhead was at the helm of the program and was briefly pledged to the Bulldogs before de-committing. Now, the 2 will be reunited in Akron during Moorhead’s 1st season leading the Zips.
We’ll see how Adams’ career develops in the MAC.
