The New Orleans Saints made headlines in the NFL media for having Antonio Brown work out for the club on Friday. While Brown is the marquee name, he wasn’t the only wide receiver the Saints have recently looked at.

Katherine Terrell of The Athletic noted that former LSU WR Travin Dural was also among the group of wideouts who tried out for New Orleans.

The Breaux Bridge, Louisiana native is currently a free agent. He has been on the Saints’ radar since departing LSU after the 2016 season. New Orleans originally signed Dural on May 1, 2017 as an undrafted free agent. He was placed on the non-football injury list in July 2017 and then waived on Sept. 2, 2017. Dural landed on the team’s practice squad after being waived and then signed a futures contract in January 2018. In 2018 training camp, Dural suffered a broken humerus and was placed on injured reserve. The Saints waived Dural ahead of final roster cuts for 2019 on Aug. 30.
