Freshman sensation: Derek Stingley Jr. makes highlight-reel interception vs. Utah State

Freshman DB Derek Stingley Jr. was one of the most anticipated arrivals of LSU’s 2019 recruiting class, and the 5-star athlete hasn’t disappointed.
On Saturday against Utah State, he showed his prowess in the secondary, making an incredible interception.
As you can see below, Stingley goes up and grabs a pick at the highest point, making it look easy:

The Tigers lead the Aggies 21-6 late in the first half of Saturday’s game. The offense looks a bit sluggish, but the defense has been solid.
Stingley is going to be a key piece for a couple more years at LSU, and he could truly become a star before the end of this season.
