Fans of the SEC and Big Ten are well-aware of Joe Burrow’s story. The LSU quarterback committed to Ohio State in 2014 and signed as part of the Buckeyes’ 2015. After spending three-plus seasons at OSU, he arrived at LSU as a graduate transfer after the Buckeyes’ 2018 spring game. Burrow was recruited by Tom Herman and played for Urban Meyer. CBS Sports color commentator Gary Danielson, however, linked Burrow to another era of Ohio State football.

One OSU fan noticed that Danielson talked about Burrow playing in a “Jim Tressel offense” at Ohio State. Tressel left OSU in 2011. Meyer was the Buckeyes’ head coach from 2012-18.

Burrow is having another day for the record books as LSU takes on Mississippi State. The Tigers quarterback is 25-of-31 passing for 327 yards and 4 touchdowns. LSU leads MSU 36-7.
