Gus Malzahn responds to question about his interest in LSU job
Former Auburn head coach and current Central Floria head man Gus Malzahn has once again found his name in the news for a head coaching position.
Just a few weeks ago, Malzahn denied interest in the USC job when asked by Florida talk show host and Orlando Sentinel writer Mike Bianchi.
Now, Malzahn has said he is not interested in the LSU job either if he is approached about it, according to 96.9 The Game out of Orlando:
On @969thegame, #UCF's Gus Malzahn continued to express confidence in QB Dillon Gabriel returning this season:
"That’s kind of been his goal. He’s been working extremely hard.”
Plus, Malzahn is not interested in the LSU job:
“I’m interested in UCF." https://t.co/zvsexMpBsb

Malzahn says he’s only interested in coaching the Knights. UCF has struggled this season under Malzahn to a 3-3 record.
The names that keep floating around for both schools are James Franklin from Penn State and Luke Fickell from Cincinnati. Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher’s name has also been brought up for the LSU job, along with Michigan State’s Mel Tucker and others.
