LSU freshman defensive lineman Davin Cotton is back in the NCAA transfer portal, per AL.com’s Matt Zenitz.
Cotton originally entered the portal on February 11 only to exit it on February 13. Now, he’s back in the portal exploring transfer options. It doesn’t mean that Cotton will transfer, but he can have contact with other schools now.
The Shreveport, Louisiana, native was credited with three tackles in 2018.
The 6-foot-1, 262 pound tackle signed with LSU in the class of 2018, and he was rated a 4-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 23 overall DT and the state of Louisiana’s No. 9 overall prospect, per 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Two other LSU players — lineman Dominic Livingston and running back Justin Jones — are currently in the portal.
