The LSU Tigers will have a new defensive coordinator in 2020, as Bo Pelini returns to LSU after serving as Youngstown State’s head coach in recent years.

Former DC Dave Aranda is now the head coach at Baylor, leaving the Tigers after helping LSU to a 15-0 season and a national title.

During a radio appearance on Monday night, returning LSU DB/LB JaCoby Stevens said he’s excited about the new schemes Pelini is installing this year:

Pelini has some big shoes to fill taking over for Aranda, but he was the Tigers’ defensive coordinator when they won the 2007 national title under Les Miles.

How will Pelini’s defense fare in 2020? Stevens seems excited, so we’ll see if the Tigers continue to play well on that side of the ball.
