James Carville is one of the brightest political minds in the country, but when it comes to sports, it appears he’s just as passionate about his home team as the rest of us.

Carville, a Louisiana native, is a huge LSU fan, so he was naturally upset about a controversial targeting call against star LB Devin White that will cost him the first half of next weekend’s game against Alabama.

Carville penned a column for The Advocate, and boy, was it a doozy. As you can see below, he said it’s clear the SEC is colluding with Alabama to keep the Tide on top:

If there was any doubt, the SEC crew in zebra stripes made it clear Saturday night. The league is in cahoots with the Crimson Tide. Yes, it appears there is collusion.

He then called for the SEC Commissioner’s Office to overturn the suspension and reinstate White:

Rip up this suspension. It was a botched call, a botched review and could forever cement the SEC’s love affair with Alabama.

Commissioner Greg Sankey — I repeat, rip up this suspension. Don’t taint SEC football history with this skid mark of a decision.

On Monday afternoon, Carville joined “The Paul Finebaum Show” and doubled-down on his outrage:

Will Greg Sankey and the SEC overturn the suspension? We’ll have to see, but LSU fans shouldn’t hold their breaths waiting for it to happen.
